Caravan Gypsy Swing

Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Caravan’s virtuosic acoustic is primarily influenced by the legendary Romani Jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt. The duo, Christo Ruppenthal and Scott Hlavenka, also pulls influences from American jazz, European Folk Music, traditional Latin, Parisian waltz, and other vintage-jazz sources. Expect a range of tunes from the “Hot Swing” repertoire, originals, and standards done in uniquely arranged styles. 

This event is an Inscape Collective production, presented by Rockford Urban Ministries.

First come-first served general admission seating up to 50 people.

No admission charge. A free will offering of $5-$20 pays our musicians.
